I have gone here for nearly my whole life and have never really had a bad experience. I will admit the customer service is pretty good but I have definitely seen better. As for the food I absolutely love it. I highly recommend the con ve dura. Or at least I think that's how you spell it. Its a white sauce pasta and its my favorite thing they have on the menu I also love their bread and their salad is very delicious as well.

We live close to CASA and eat once or twice a week. Both the food and the service are outstanding. We know the managers by name and the server's names as well. I read some of the negative reviews and cannot believe they went to the same restaurant. Complaints about the wine list, e. g., are silly!!! CASA never advertises itself as having a wine list like the upscale restaurants in town. To compare it to OLIVE GARDEN makes no sense. However, we all have different tastes and different expectations. I will not argue about whose taste in food is better. My advice to those who had really bad experiences is to go to some otner restaurant and bitch about it as well.

Had an absolutely fabulous experience on a Sunday( a few weeks back) around 1pm. I was in town for work training and we (myself and 8 other Lushies) only had 45 min for lunch. We pushed the limit because we had heard such good things about Casa! We were seated immediately, let our waitress (whose name was very cool/unusual and I am upset I don't remember it!) know that we were in a hurry and from there everything went great. Had our drinks within a minute of being seated, and our order was taken as soon as our drinks were delivered. We originally planned on dining-it, but realized we didn't have time. So we asked for TOGO boxes, and to our surprise, they went ahead and packaged everything for all of us in TOGO boxes! Also provided us with cutlery, napkins, and bread TOGO. We were all given our (separate!) checks before our food was even ready to accommodate our speedy request. Casa took our "in a hurry" request very literally and we were in and out of there in 45 minutes! I was so impressed and especially appreciated that no one gave us that "ugh they are in a hurry, I don't want to deal with them" look. Kudos to you guys. The food was bomb, I had the Pasta Con Verdura (I even special ordered extra garlic and that did not stop them from delivering flawlessly!) and it was excellent. Will return for sure!

I travel for a living and this was my first trip to Fort Wayne. Amazing ambiance and excellent food at a surprisingly reasonable price! The staff is warm and friendly. I had the Salmone Florentine and is was fabulous. It's a fillet of salmon stuffed with spinach in a bed of red sauce, tomatoes and calamari. Very pleasing to the pallet. For dessert, the peanut butter pie was to die for. All for under $30 with tip! The entree alone would of been more than that at any other reputable restaurant in the country. I'll be sure to return If I make it back to the Fort.

We went to Casa Grille on the recommendation of a friend as we passed through Fort Wayne. We had three kids in tow, and really needed a family friendly place we could recharge and fuel up during a road trip. Casa Grille is a perfectly average midwest restaurant. It's Italian themed, and the offerings and food were okay. It reminded me of the first meal you make in your first real apartment for your friends. Basic, all the ingredients are there, dumped in a bowl, tasted okay. It wasn't authentic or anything, very Olive Garden level, but honestly, it was so cheap nobody minded. The prices were really great, and the server was amazing. Funny, joked with the kids, really really awesome. Honestly, I walked in pretty grumpy and exhausted, and by the time our server pretended to spill a glass of soda on my 7 year old, I relaxed. It's not Rome, it's just pasta in a bowl.

I got take out. Petto Di Pollo Al Marsala is supposed to be a customer favorite... It tasted like someone juiced 10 lemons on top of my chicken, a waste of $14. The white pasta was great though! I will probably try a few more dishes at some point. Popular place though, always busy. Chill out with the lemon juice. Make lemonade.

When visiting my boy friend in Fort Wayne dining options are somewhat limited (I currently live in Chicago). it is so hard to compare the two cities! We have tried a few of the Casa restaurants so far and this one has been my favorite. I love the open fire for cooking in the middle of the restaurant. I thought the tables were packed very close together, it would be nice to have a little more space. Food is decent, I often compare to Olive Garden. My side salad was drenched in dressing which made me a little upset...I am definitely ordering dressing on the side next time! My chicken with veggies and rice was average nothing horrible or amazing to say. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating when we asked her to check with the chef if we could order a chicken dish without breading.

Was only here once and it was good, not great, but good. They have a large menu, prices are great and portions are HUGE. Overall, not a bad spot, but not anything particularly memorable about it.

Gotta love this place such a classic restaurant that you absolutely must visit when in Fort Wayne. Start with the Casa salad and take your pick on the main course. You will not be disappointed.

Casa's open grille seating restaurant...Don't be fooled if there are a lot of cars outside in the parking lot because they probably will still have room for you inside...it's a big place!!! Had the "Penne con Salsiccia E Pepperoni", soup and salads, couple of soft drinks and 2 of the kid meals, and the 4 of us paid $42 (including tip) and we had food leftover to take home with us! Considering how awful food is at fast food restaurants (& how expensive that has gotten), how nice it is to sit down with younger kids and converse with them at a sit-down restaurant, and how convenient many good restaurants are like this one, why do we ever go to those awful burger places???? I guess for just one answer...time...but I digress.... The Penne was great with the sausage medallions and their sweet/spicy tomato sauce...Yum!...And as usual, the salad was good (seemed like a lot more iceberg in the mix this time...maybe supply of the other leafy greens was low?) The food/service/atmosphere here is wonderful...We love it!

Best Italian food in the Fort by far and it's locally owned!!! No chains here. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is great. The service is great. The portions are large, but I've never had a dish that didn't taste great the next day for lunch. The kids meals are extremely reasonable. The seasonal specials are always worth a try. Try the house salad, the cavatelli quatro fromaggi with the ground sausage, and a slice of cheese cake with the raspberry sauce. Round it out with a few glasses of the Malvasia and you've got a meal to die for.

So bad. The dish came cold and tasted awful. I'm not a fan of the sauce. So expensive for nothing worth the price.

Good Italian food. Portions big enough to share and plenty of choices on the menu. Service has always been great, they are very good with kids.

Dreadful. I am not exaggerating when I say my Caesar Salad was romaine lettuce mixed with Miracle Whip and served with cold chicken luncheon meat. The zuppa di fagioli was bland at best. My girlfriend thought her ravioli was undercooked. The only redeeming things I can say was that the service was fine and that the garlic cheese bread was good (but then, it would have to be).

Don't go here for a taste of Italy. That doesn't mean it's bad. It's a good Midwestern interpretation of classic Italian dishes served in classic Midwestern portions at good prices. I tried the risotto Alberto first. It wasn't as creamy as I've had some risottos and they over loaded it with zucchini and asparagus and a large hunk of chicken. With risotto I'm a big fan of less is more. My daughter looked enviously at my risotto and was a big disappointed with her linguine alfredo. I traded her because I'm the best dad in the world. The alfredo was done pretty well. I'm had alfredo too often where it's a mushy ball. I think it's because the pasta is cooked and then mixed with too much sauce which cooks the pasta into a chewy gun. Not this time. It almost had a light quality too it. My only quibble would be the portions. Like I said, they were mid-western. Huge. Intimidating even. If you are eating a piece of brea, an app and then an entire entree, you are really eating too damn much. The prices are pretty low but I'd prefer they'd knock them down to half the size and a buck off the price. It'd still be fair. Finally, I find the place just slightly uncomfortable. A bit too on the nose. A bit too open. We sat on the main floor which had the feeling of being on stage.

If there was one thing other than friends that I miss since moving away from FTW it would be Casa! When I go back to visit family we usually go to dinner for the very good Italian, and don't forget olive oil and bread!

I love their salads and the pastas here esp the 3cheeses. Its casual/dressy. The lighting is a bit dim but a nice place to catch up and eat good food.

Fantastic! The bruschetta is outstanding and the linguini was just as good. Only Con would be its expensive. But I enjoyed my dinner and the wait staff worked their butts off.. The iced tea.... Amazing!!

The food here is not very good at all. I've gone 5 times noe expecting something better but am always let down. The bread is so hard it's hard to chew. The atmosphere is a little too open and loud for my taste. I can honestly say there is not one thing I like about this restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere. Portions are a bit large, but that just means lunch for the next day. If you're looking for an actual taste of Italy, go to Italy. As far as American-Italian restaurants go, I find this place to be top notch.

Loved it!! I had the gluten free pasta-quattro formaggio and it was delicious. They also had a gluten free caramel cheese cake!!!! I was mostly surprised by how inexpensive it was. Two adults and two kids got meals, two desserts, and a glass of wine for $54. I think I found our new local dining spot!!!

It's good. It's quite good. Prices are so very affordable for the amount of food you get. Service at this specific location is not great. The cute paintings/art on the wall are pleasant to stare at if you have a need to. Their complimentary bread is hit and miss. Most of the time is dry and very tough to break or chew. Ask for a bottle of their olive oil (I love how they've seasoned it) and some parmesan cheese and it becomes a lovely thing to munch on while you wait for your food. If you go during a busy hour, try to avoid sitting in the center "atrium" space as the shape of the interior will increase the echo from many conversations. You'll have to shout or just not talk to your company.

Reporting live from Casa Grille where I've just rejected and sent not 1, not 2, but 3 dishes to the edge of my table for disposal to the shock and horror of my unsuspecting server........the house salad (iceberg) was an embarrassment in my opinion to even be served in the first place, the "house" chicken specialty dish was a throw back to high school cafeteria food, drowning in sauce & looking unattractively institutional, the asparagas (likely canned) was soggy, tasteless, overcooked & quite frankly didn't resemble asparagus anymore. Ugh. This has to be some of the grossest looking fake food ever, like it all came canned/frozen and was microwaved beyond salvation. Interesting because their menu totes all sorts of commentary around "freshness". The only "freshness" I experienced was the glass of wine (limited/poor wine selection too I might add) thank goodness I threw back for nutrition in lieu of food. In hindsight, I think I'd have been better off going to an Olive Garden (gag) which I would never do unless I was back in Lima, Ohio where in fact that IS the best option LOL. But, the parking lot was jammed on a Tuesday night so clearly my standards are not the norm here.

Really like the food and the atmosphere. If I were to have a bad thing to say, both stores are a little different, you can't get the pizza at the one by the coliseum and the portion size seems smaller at the coliseum one to. It would be nice to have the same experience at all their stores.

This is a great Italian restaurant. We have been going here since I moved to Fort Wayne 18 years ago. The prices are pretty good. Love the flatbread pizzas, four cheese pasta dish as well as the Spaghetti Parmigiana. Great for groups...can be a little noisy at times, so not the most romantic atmosphere.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
